By booking an appointment, purchasing a membership, voucher or product, or using the services of Tranquil Beauty, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Bookings & Appointments

Appointments can be booked online or by contacting Tranquil Beauty directly.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. As treatments are booked for specific time periods, arriving late may mean your treatment needs to be shortened so the next client is not affected. The full treatment price may still apply.

Tranquil Beauty is a private, home-based beauty studio. Please follow the arrival and parking instructions provided with your booking confirmation.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee of 50% of the booked treatment price.

No-shows may incur a charge of up to 100% of the booked treatment price.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a booking fee or deposit being required to secure future appointments.

Tranquil Beauty understands that unexpected circumstances can happen, and each situation may be considered individually at the discretion of the business.

Treatment Suitability & Consultation

Your safety and wellbeing are important to us.

New clients are required to complete a consultation form before their first appointment. Additional consultation or treatment-specific forms may be required for certain services.

Please provide accurate and complete information about relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, skin conditions, pregnancy, recent treatments and any other information that may affect the suitability of a treatment.

If a treatment is considered unsuitable or contraindicated, Tranquil Beauty reserves the right to modify, postpone or decline the treatment.

Certain advanced treatments may require a consultation, patch test or preparation period before treatment can be performed.

Treatment Results

While treatments are performed using professional products, equipment and care, individual results can vary.

Results may be affected by factors including skin type, lifestyle, skincare routine, health, previous treatments and adherence to recommended aftercare.

Specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Patch Tests

Where a patch test is required, it must be completed within the timeframe advised by Tranquil Beauty before the treatment.

A treatment may need to be postponed if a required patch test has not been completed.

Pregnancy

Some treatments are not suitable during pregnancy.

Please advise Tranquil Beauty if you are pregnant or believe you may be pregnant when booking or completing your consultation form.

Pregnancy massage is available only after the first trimester, from 12 weeks.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers may be purchased digitally or as a physical voucher.

Vouchers are issued for a value amount rather than a specific treatment and can be used towards eligible Tranquil Beauty services or products.

Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed for cash change. Any remaining balance can be retained as credit and will expire at the same time as the original voucher.

Gift vouchers should be treated as cash. Tranquil Beauty is not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers.

Memberships

Memberships are subject to the individual membership terms displayed at the time of purchase.

Membership treatments and benefits are generally for the named member and are non-transferable, unless otherwise stated.

Membership treatments must be used within the applicable membership period. Birthday benefits must be used within the member’s birthday month unless otherwise specified.

Membership payments are made according to the payment schedule selected at the time of joining.

Where a membership has a minimum commitment period, the member remains responsible for payments for that commitment period. Early cancellation may result in an applicable cancellation fee.

Membership benefits, treatment inclusions and pricing may change for future memberships. Existing members will retain the terms applicable to their current membership unless otherwise agreed.

Pricing

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable.

Tranquil Beauty reserves the right to update treatment, membership and retail pricing. The price applicable at the time of booking or purchase will apply.

Prices may differ from older advertising, social media posts or promotional material.

Promotions & Special Offers

Promotions and special offers are available for the period stated and are subject to the conditions specified with each offer.

Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined with other discounts, memberships or offers.

Promotional offers may be subject to availability.

Retail Products

Product recommendations are made based on the information available at the time of consultation.

Individual results from skincare products can vary.

Please follow product directions and contact Tranquil Beauty if you experience an unexpected reaction or concern.

For product returns, exchanges or faults, please contact Tranquil Beauty as soon as possible. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.

Payments

Tranquil Beauty accepts the payment methods displayed at the time of booking or purchase.

If paying by cash, exact payment is appreciated as cash is not kept onsite.

Privacy

Personal information collected through bookings, consultation forms, memberships and other interactions with Tranquil Beauty is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information provided during consultations is kept confidential and is used to help provide safe and appropriate treatments and services.

Right to Refuse or Modify a Treatment

Tranquil Beauty reserves the right to refuse or modify a treatment where there is a reasonable concern regarding safety, contraindications, inappropriate behaviour, or the suitability of the requested service.

Where possible, an alternative treatment or option may be discussed.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Tranquil Beauty’s services, policies or legal requirements.

The current version will be available on the Tranquil Beauty website.
